“Stories constitute the single most powerful weapon in a leader’s arsenal.” - Harvard University Professor Dr. Howard Gardner.

As children, stories were used to entertain us, inspire us, illustrate specific situations we may find ourselves in (and what we should do when we're in them), and most importantly, to teach us morals and values.

And they don't stop working when we grow up. The Once Upon a Bottom Line workshop will teach you how to incorporate stories into your employee communications.

Key Takeaways for Leaders:

  • How to communicate with employees through the use of story
  • The three most important stories you can tell
  • How to structure your stories for maximum emotional engagement

Speaker Bio: Sheryl Green is a New York native living and thawing in Las Vegas since 2008. She has always enjoyed writing, however it wasn't until a divorce shook her world, that she discovered the power of story. Having penned three novels (comedic mysteries about serial killers), she now brings her penchant for storytelling to non-fiction and content writing, working with businesses and individuals who want to position themselves as experts in their field. Sheryl leverages the power of story through coaching and ghostwriting, blogging, website content, and speaking engagements.

Sheryl holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology and has worked in Mental Health, Customer Service, Public Relations, Education, and the Non-Profit world, bringing a unique blend of experience and insight to her audiences. A passionate animal advocate, she serves as the Director of Communications and Cuddling for Hearts Alive Village, and is constantly in awe of people who use lint rollers on a regular basis. She is the co-organizer of the Unstuck Happiness Conference which helps individuals to overcome their life circumstances, and co-founder of The Cause Marketing Chamber of Commerce, an organization designed to connect businesses with non-profits for the benefit of both.

She is the author of "Surviving to Thriving: How to Overcome Setbacks and Rock Your Life," "Book Writing for Busy People," and "Once Upon a Bottom Line™: Harnessing the Power of Storytelling in Sales."

In her spare time, she likes to read, travel, hike with her Beagle/Lab mix Akasha, and do yoga (also sometimes with Akasha). Learn more at www.sherylgreenspeaks.com.
